On a humid day at East Drive, league struggler’s West Lothian traveled to East Drive, on the back of a win last week. Captain Rintoul got back to his usual luck with the toss meaning the visitors got to choose to bat first on a good batting wicket.

F.Khan and Gillin opened the bowling and bowled steadily with no luck so it was the change to Bentley which provided the opening wicket bowling Anderson for 7. With the ball swinging prestigiously around M.Khan was brought in to the attack and with Bentley both bowled very tightly without much luck. Finally Bentley removed Gurr for 23 leaving the score at the half way point 43-2. With Bentley finishing his spell with 5 consecutive maidens, Anderson was brought in to the attack and with the visitors obviously needing to accelerate got 2 wickets quickly meaning the young West Lothian side were struggling to get going.

The return of the opening bowlers after Rintoul had also picked up a wicket meant there was no let up for the visitors and with both Khan and Gillin returning to take 2 wickets West Lothian finished on 110-9 off their 45 overs a score well below what looked par.

Tea was taken and openers Warrander and Rintoul came out to bat and immediately put the pressure on the opposition bowlers Rintoul in particular hitting early boundaries to get to 28-0 off 4 overs before Rintoul chopped on a cut shot for 17. This brought Kinnear to the wicket who looked as good as he had all year hitting boundaries off any bad balls and with Warrander also looking in great form down the other end, the score moved comfortably to 86-1 at drinks and the game looked beyond doubt.

With the score getting down to 8 to win Warrander gave the always unfortunate call of 'yes, no, sorry Cas' resulting in both batsman at one end and Kinnear run out for 25. After this unfortunate incident though Warrander got to a deserved 50 and Baddeley hit the winning runs for a 8 wicket win. This was a 3rd win in a row for Largo who are finishing the season well with their final away trip of the season to Falkand next week one to look forward to.
