Having had a decent run in the Fife T20 competition the Largo team which traveled through to a sun-drenched Dunfermline on Wednesday evening will be disappointed with the result. Asked to bat first Largo openers Ali and Warrender did well to see off the home sides attack particularly the pacey Ahmed. However Largo were unable to build the momentum they would have hoped for with few boundaries being scored from the Dunfermline change bowlers. Ali was stumped for 37 in the 13th. over trying to accelerate the score and Warrender was caught in the 16th for 32 and the score on 83.Largo finished their 20 overs on 108 for 5.
With Dunfermlines big hitters to bat it was unlikely that 108 would be enough and so it proved. While Yasir went cheaply to Gillin Asif carried the attack to the Largo bowlers retiring on 55 having hit 4 "sixes" and 3 "fours".Waqas Ahmed finished the Dunfermline innings with a huge "six" and Dunfermline home(110 for 2) with 4 overs to spare.Matt baddeley picked up largo's second wicket thanks to a catch in the deep by Scott.
