For the second year in succession Largo's youngsters have won the "sixes" competition organised by Fife Junior Cricket Association with a win against a strong Falkland side. Having lost to Falkland in the earlier rounds of the competition Largo knew that they had to get off to a great start and the bowlers delivered with Ben Michie, Charlie Burton, Harry Collinson and Ryan Jennings taking 7 Falkland wickets. Tight bowling backed up by first class fielding and great work behind the stumps by Tristan Bleak strictly limited the Falkland scoring. While only chasing a modest score Largo didn't have things all their own way with Falkland taking 5 Largo wickets to put pressure on the batsmen. However thanks to some big hitting lead by Ryan, Ben and Charlie and sharp running between the wickets orchestrated by Libby Smith's adventurous calling Largo emerged as 267 to 199 winners.

While only six players took part in the actual final this was very much a squad effort with Kerin Dale and Kerr McNeil playing an important part in the earlier matches.

Fife coach Steve Rowley presented the Largo squad with the trophy and medals commenting that the matches on finals night had been a great advert for junior cricket in Fife. Will 2019 be a hat-trick season for Largo??

Thanks go Steve for his organising the matches and to the Largo parents for chauffeuring players to and from matches on cold winter nights. The support from the "Largy Army" on finals night was fantastic.
