2009 Junior Profiles - U17
Aqaf AhmedHas worked hard over the winter and now showing much greater confidence with bat and ball. A successful summer awaits. Has played for the Largo 3rd and 4th XIs
Basher AhmedMade a promising start to his Largo career in 2007. Regular attendance at Club and Fife indoor coaching over the winter are really beginning to pay off for Basher. Could be a key player in Under 15 team this year. Has played for the Largo 3rd and 4th XI
Robbie EalandAnother key player, profiting enormously from in-depth coaching last year. A very economical bowler, Robbie was unlucky not to take more wickets in 2007 but they will come! Some big scores expected of him for both junior and senior teams in the summer months, especially if he eliminates slight weakness in forward defensive shot. Another ESCA Division 8 Championship contributor and has played for the Largo 2nd XI this season
Tom FrancisConfirmed high expectations last season particularly with classy innings for 3rd XI in championship chase. Selected for Caledonia Academy training over the winter. Can face the coming season with more than a little confidence. Helicopter on stand-by!
Simon JohnsonEnough seen of Simon last year to reveal his potential but must be prepared to attend coaching sessions if he is to convert this into success on the field of play.
Tom NashAs keen as we could wish. Thinks hard about his game and already showing signs of real progress.
Alex RiachAnother of Largo's hopefuls. A good team player who will succeed if he perseveres
Andrew RobertsonProfiting enormously from intense coaching and showing much greater confidence in all aspects of the game including captaincy. Now emerging as a dependable batsman while his bowling finesse will cause both senior and junior batters a big headache this summer. Like Tom, Andrew has been attending Caledonia Academy coaching sessions this winter. Made a big impact for 3rd XI last year and has played for the Largo 2nd XI this season
Martin SeenanSadly only rare sightings of Martin who shows real cricketing promise.
Ahsan ShafiqueGood attendance at indoor practice has brought about all-round improvement in Ahsan's skills. Has the ability and keenness to develop even further but must aim for greater concentration in the months ahead. Has played for the Largo 4th XIs
Andrew WarrenderConsummate all-rounder who took to the game immediately last summer. Good with bat and ball but could well be Largo's next star wicketkeeper. Won junior award for most promising Under 15 player. Has played for the Largo 2nd and 3rd XIs
2009 Junior Profiles - U15
Alex AndersonOur leading run scorer of 2007 will hope to improve on his fantastic efforts of last year which saw him score over 200 runs including an unbeaten 50 in the final game of the season and take 13 wickets. Will skipper the U13s in most games and has recently been selected for the U14 Caledonia academy and Represented Fife U13s and has played for the Largo 3rd and 4th XIs
Callum GrewarNewcomer but has already impressed with bat, ball and in the field and so much so he has already Represented Fife U13s and has played for the Largo 3rd and 4th XIs
Konor GrieveAnother Largo debutant in '07....already hooked on the game and making great progress indoors over the winter. Progress sadly halted through injury but mid-April should see Konor back keen as mustard.
Matthew HumphreysHas been working hard over the winter and will hope to score more runs than ever before. Bowling is coming along nicely and will look to take a stack of wickets. Played for the Largo 4th XI
Tristan LeicesterHas worked hard on his game over the winter. All round talents still developing. A big hitter who can quickly change the course of a game, he must now concentrate on appropriate shot selection. Bowling accuracy improving all the time and expected to be part of Under 15 attack. Has played for the Largo 3rd XI and 4th XI this season
Jonas NeukrichJust started training in September and has made a lot of progress so far and should do well in the summer.
Ben PeddieHas a superb bowling action and took quite a few wickets last season. We're hoping for great things this season
Zaman ShafiqueTerrific fielder, more than useful bowler and explosive hitter who has still to include the forward defensive stroke in his repertoire...hence too often dismissed for a low score. Has played for the Largo 4th XI
David ScottPromise as a bowler confirmed last year and now has to learn not to bowl too fast. Very economical and sure to be part of a very hostile Largo Under 15 bowling attack. Working hard and successfully to bring his batting skills to the same level as his bowling. Another Largo 'student' at Under 14 level at the Caledonia Academy and has played for the Largo 3rd XI
Laurie ScottThe U13s favourite joker bowls beautiful swinging deliveries which will hopefully see him take a lot of wickets this summer. Quick in the field with a good arm. Represented Fife U13s and has played for the Largo 4th XI
James ToozeJames' captaincy and all-round skills were an asset in his last year for the Under 13 XI. Thinks hard about his game and shows a calm approach to all he does. Ready to step up to a higher level. Has played for the Largo 2nd and 3rd XIs.
Stephen WarrenderAn addition to the Largo Academy last year...consistent attender at indoor winter coaching sessions and developing all the time as batter and bowler. Should add real punch to the bowling attack! Has played for the Largo 2nd and 3rd XIs

Jon PriceJon made his U13 debut towards the end of last season and looks the part with bat and particularly ball.
