Largo CC History

There had been a Largo Cricket Club in existence Post War that had played quite close to the present ground at East Drive throughout the 1950's.  According to some reports the wicket was close to Largo House but unfortunately there is not much evidence left of the "old" Largo Cricket Club.  We know there are some old score books somewhere and your resident club historian will endeavour to find them.  Here is one piece that does exist to prove there was some cricket played in Largo in those white flannel days!

As you can see from this fixture card from 1950 there are still quite a few clubs that we still play today and obviously some that don't exist at all anymore. (pic kindly on loan from the National Cricket Museum, Lords, Aye right!, pic taken in Andre Duncan's hoose!).
